Speaking the lingo of the industry
Automation and control of process industries and manufacturing enterprises use a very specific language to describe ‘how things work’.
Some examples are;
stroking a valve
tuning a loop
non-disruptive step changes
modelling a plate fin heat exchanger
and so many more
To relate to the viewers and readers in these industries it is imperative to speak their language – they will spot an imposter within the first few sentences! With this in mind, I remain very active in the industry, and stay abreast of technical and economic developments.
Presently I am a member of the Federal Council of the Institute of Instrumentation, Control and Automation (IICA), and a member of Engineers Australia,
I subscribe to: Process and Control Engineering (PACE), What’s New in Process Technology, Electrical, Comms and Data (ECD), LNG Journal, Bulk Handling Review, Australian Mining Monthly, Gas Today, What’s New in Food Technology, Sustainability Matters, 'create' (from Engineers Australia), Manufacturing Monthly, and other publications and online newsletters.
This industry involvement has enabled me to remain very much in touch with this marketplace so that I can describe your product and service in a style that they understand.
